On the island, time is measured differently. Days are shaped by the heat, the movement of the sea and the instinct to leave one place for another. Morning slips into afternoon; wet skin dries in the sun; clothes and belongings are abandoned on rocks before eventually finding their way home.
No Fixed Hour follows fragments of an Ibizan summer without establishing a clear beginning or end. A figure emerges from the water. Another waits on the shore. A swimsuit is left behind. The landscape empties, and the story continues inside, away from the brightness of the coast, in quiet rooms where the traces of the day remain.
The people appear briefly and often seem absorbed in their own private worlds. Rather than explaining who they are, the photographs observe gestures, objects and pauses: moments that might otherwise disappear without being noticed.
Photographed in black and white, the series removes Ibiza from a specific moment in time. The island becomes less of a destination and more of a state of mind, restless yet slow, shared yet deeply personal, suspended somewhere between freedom and escape.
