Beyond the island’s crowded beaches and familiar landmarks, a small cove exists almost as a world of its own. Weathered doors open directly onto the water, a boat waits offshore, and strangers share the rocks as though they have always known one another.
Where Summer Hides follows the rhythm of an afternoon spent inside this hidden landscape. People arrive, swim, climb from the sea and disappear again. A dog watches from the shore. The rock remains still while the water continually transforms everything around it.
The series moves between expansive landscapes and small, passing gestures: a body suspended above the water, sunlight caught beneath the surface, wet skin against stone. Human presence becomes part of the cove rather than the centre of it.
Photographed in colour, the work celebrates the intense palette of an Ibizan summer while looking beyond the island’s polished image. It is a story about the informal places that people temporarily make their own and the brief sense of belonging that can exist between arrival and departure.
